Switchboard design software that starts where the work starts
Most "electrical design software" starts with the schematic and treats the physical board as an afterthought. Switchboard building runs the other way: the enclosure, the chassis, what fits where, how the wiring runs, what to order. PanelPro starts there.
Lay the board out on real parts
Drop DIN rail and duct on the escutcheon or chassis, then place gear from a library built on the manufacturers' own 3D models. Widths are the real widths; a 40 mm duct is 40 mm; if two parts clash, you see it on screen instead of at the bench. Rotate the whole board in 3D — glands, external cables and bridge bars included — and check it the way you would check the finished job.
The paperwork writes itself from the board
- Wiring schedule — every conductor with from/to, colour, size and marking, printable as a sign-off sheet with tick-boxes and a signature line.
- Bill of materials — quantities aggregated from the board itself, including the accessories: bridges, end plates, labels.
- Drawings — general arrangement sheets with your title block, scaled views, revisions.
Because all three are read from the same board, they cannot disagree with each other — or with the design — after Thursday's change.
The floor works from a phone, not a printout
A QR code opens the live board on any phone: the 3D model, the wiring list with tick-as-you-go progress, the parts list. When the design changes, the phone shows the change — the version-of-truth problem with printouts simply stops existing. PIN-protected, revocable, and it costs nothing per user.
